A visit to 'Etty-Lilly' Craft shop in Carnforth

Following on from our trip out to the Standfast & Barracks factory shop and our failed trip to the Festival Market in Morecambe which was shut, we found ourselves with a boring afternoon ahead after we had eaten our lunch.   What to do?

Sitting in a pub, using their free WiFi, I Googled 'Craft shops in Morecame', as you do, and came across this little place only a few miles out - 3 or 4 perhaps - in Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth.  Etty-Lilly.

Well why not?  Especially as we could head home that way anyway, it would have been rude not to pop in.

Well, what an explosion of colour, beautiful yarns and pretty fabrics.

They also do sewing lessons in the back space of the shop and having earwigged a little, the lady who owns the shop, Helen,  is very knowledgeable indeed.

Of course I couldn't leave without a small purchase of some fat quarters.

And some yarn.  Neither of which I have a plan for, but you never know when things come in handy  :)

If you are in the area definitely go and have a visit, it is a small compact little shop, but the chilled, laid back atmosphere is fantastic  :)

They sell online too, and have a Facebook page, go say Hello and tell them Sooz sent you  :)
