My first sewing class, for beginners.

A few times I have heard the words "I have a sewing machine, but no idea how to use it/thread it/wind a bobbin", so I thought I might offer a class showing just those things.

Aimed at people who have a sewing machine and don't really know what to do with it, or those thinking of buying on, the class would show them how to thread a basic machine, wind and insert a bobbin correctly, do some basic stitching, and go on to make themselves a little pin-cushion with their newly found skills.

I had two ladies at the first one, which was great as you are never quite sure how a new class is going to work out - they were Georgina and Sheila.   Georgina had her own machine, which she brought with here, Sheila was considering buying one.

They got to grips really quickly with the workings and the stitches, I was most impressed.

And they went on to make beautiful pin cushions each.

Which made them both very happy  :)

It was lovely to meet you ladies, if you are reading, hope you enjoy your new skills and start using them.

And if you should fancy this class, then the next one is on 28th August 2014, 4.00pm-7.00pm  (You book a 2 hour slot to suit)  It costs £10 which includes all materials to make a pin-cushion, and you can find the booking information HERE.

  1. That is very impressive. Hard to believe that they were beginners.
I wish you did a class down here. I'm definitely in the category No Idea.
