Puppy tales.

I am so pleased to let you all know that we finally were able to bring our Ruby puppy home this weekend.

This is her, very snug in her posh velvety new bed.

She has already settled in far better than we expected.   She got a couple of bops on the nose from Charlie Cat  (she has yet to encounter Milly as she has been watching her from high places so far and has not been tempted to come down and see what this new creature is.  But she was ok with it and Charlie settled down and meowed at her - I like to think he was telling her that although he is a cat, he is top dog round this place.

She met the guinea pigs and played in the garden for a while.

Then she cried for a while when we left her to to go bed, but not for long.  We were very good and didn't get up to go see her, but she was super excited to see us in the morning.

..... and she likes chewing slippers!

I am sure you will be getting a few more updates in the coming weeks  :)  Puppy overload!

  1. Oh, Sooz. Ruby is just so beautiful and adorable. It's easy to see how you fell in love with her when you and your hubby first met her. That face! Those lovely little floppy-over ears! I'm so happy for you that she's come into your life. I'm still struggling here, trying to get used to life without my B. The house feels different without him...

I look forward to all your Ruby updates, and many more adorable photos. Ohhh...that face...what a sweetie. :)

  2. Congratulations! I can imagine Charlie Cat establishing the pecking order. Hope Millie will soon accept the interloper and settle down.

  3. She's my cuddle monster, always wanting picked up for a cuddle. Goodness knows what will happen when she's too heavy to lift!
