Beaded Links Chain

A great little project for practising your loops and wire wrapping.

You can use almost any beads on the links, experiment with shapes and colours.  I love these miracle beads as they shimmer so much with movement.

You will need:
  • 0.8mm or 0.6mm Wire
  • Beads
  • Closed Jump Rings
What you do:
  • Take the wire and thread it through the jump ring, twisting the short end around the longer end for about 3 wraps.
  • Thread on your chosen beads, then bend the wire back on itself, leaving a loop shape at the top.
  • Add another ring into the loop and again, thread the wire around itself three times. Trim off the excess and tuck in any sharp edges with a pair of long nose pliers.
  • Continue to link in this way until your chain is the required length.
